We asked the the renowned French laboratory Institut Pasteur de Lille (IPL) to rigorously test our units* and we are proud to share two of the most important results we received from them:
- Daikin’s air purifiers eliminate more than 99.98% of the human coronavirus HCoV-229E in 2.5 minutes. This virus is of the same family as SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus causing the Covid-19 pandemic.
- The units have also been evaluated as 99.93% effective against the H1N1 virus (which causes common flu) in 2.5 minutes.

Air purifiers can filter out the smell of smoke and harmful cigarette particles by using a combination of technologies such as high-efficiency electrostatic HEPA filters and activated carbon filters.
High-efficiency particulate absorbing filters are designed to remove 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air, including smoke, tar and nicotine. Air purifiers with odour filters remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as smoke odours and chemicals from the air by absorbing and neutralising them.
